Since we had our traditional Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday this year, we decided to try out new recipes for our day-after-Thanksgiving feast. Mom made a great pork loin, roasted seasonal vegetables, and a home-made stuffing. Each dish was very tasty but, like last year's experimental recipes, are not necessarily making it into the permanent Thanksgiving collection. Some new post-Thanksgiving, experimental activities, however, are definitely making it.
The first two activities, inspired by uncle Joe, provided some great pre-dinner entertainment. This one is called "niece/nephew to aunt/uncle height measuring." Morgan is so close to passing aunt Liney.
This one is called "Who can jump high enough to hit their head on the kitchen ceiling?"Quite the crowd pleaser. (No one actually won, thank goodness.)
Brody made a valiant effort.
Joe was not much of a contender.
I forgot to take a picture of the food before we started eating...but it was delicious.
The stuffing was made from home-made biscuits. But the end result was too soggy.
A full family. No, Liney is not pregnant.
Quiddler after dinner...even Morgan and Brody got into it. (Thanks Pat and Joe!)
Mom and I took Morgan and Brody to see Bolt at the new theaters by our house. (And it was cold enough to wear my new scarflette and jacket...thanks Jenny!)
I love spending time with my niece and nephew.
We were very grateful to be at home for Thanksgiving. We're not sure what mom's housing situation will be in the near future, (I helped her put up the Christmas decorations already...hoping she'll be here at least through Christmas). It's amazing how Heavenly Father continues to bless us.

Like Pat said we played Quiddler too. This was our first time, Tyler won. Jenny's going to give us hers, thanks Jenny! That's funny how you all do the measuring of the heights, we do it too. Tyler is way taller than I am, Jacob is almost there.
